Job Description
As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Grocery in Dayton, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. At Allied Universal, you will be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, works together, and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with store personnel, visitors, and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site guidelines.
- Complete routine reports and document incidents, patrol activity, and/or noteworthy observations in support of daily location operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
