About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days EOW, First to Float Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Ability to read basic tele strips - Some experience with CVA and TIA - Total joint replacement experience Description: Prescreening and manager review required. Clinician must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract. If clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, then there will be a DNU for 6 months. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any affiliated facilities within the past year. Unit has 49 beds with a ratio of 1:5. Charge nurses and house supervisors are available. Nurse aides are present with a ratio of 1:10-15. Equipment includes BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments. Schedules are made out for 4 weeks using self-scheduling, but final scheduling is balanced by the manager. Weekend requirement is 2 weekends per 4-week schedule. Holiday requirement includes working 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day for major holidays. Floating to other departments may be required if qualified. Scrub color is navy blue. Charting system used is Cerner.
