Overview
Registered Nurse - OR Circulator in a perioperative setting, San Luis Obispo, CA. This travel assignment starts 08/17/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,522 to $2,645. Responsibilities
- Circulate during operative procedures, assisting surgeons and the anesthesiology team and coordinating flow of equipment, supplies, and staff.
- Maintain patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care, including monitoring, positioning, and sterile technique.
- Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment within the operating room specialty.
- Manage instrument and supply readiness, counts, and specimen labeling in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient room turnover and documentation of perioperative care.
- Uphold safety standards and regulatory requirements; respond to intraoperative changes and support anesthesia and surgical staff as needed.

Requirements
- Active RN license in California (or eligibility in the applicable state) to practice perioperatively as an OR Circulator.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced operating room environment and support perioperative nursing activities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and staff.
- Ability to work daytime hours across a 40-hour week in a surgical setting.
- Proficiency in perioperative safety practices, patient advocacy, and documentation related to the intraoperative period.
- Flexibility to participate in a 13-week contract and adapt to unit-specific protocols.
