Your impact on our mission

Our Talent Acquisition team finds and hires the people who help Zocdoc give power to the patient. Talent Operations is the engine behind that work - the systems, data, and processes that let recruiters spend their time on people, not on process. We're building this function from the ground up, and this role will be at the center of it.

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Talent Operations to build our talent operations function from scratch. You've done this before - you know what it takes to go from "recruiters cobbling together workarounds" to an operational backbone: clean tooling, documented process, and metrics leaders actually trust.

This is a hybrid IC/manager role. Day to day, you'll be hands-on - configuring tools, building knowledge systems, standing up dashboards. You'll also lead a team of 2 Recruiting Coordinators, with the team expected to grow as the function matures.

What You'll Do

Tooling & Systems

• Own and optimize our recruiting tech stack (Gem, Greenhouse, BrightHire, etc), ensuring tools are configured to support how the team actually works - not fighting the tools to make process fit
• Identify gaps in the stack, evaluate and recommend new tools or integrations, and manage vendor relationships
• Build and maintain integrations between systems so data flows cleanly across the recruiting lifecycle

Knowledge Management

• Design and build a knowledge management system for the TA team - playbooks, SOPs, onboarding materials, and process documentation that scales as the team grows and evolves
• Keep documentation current as tools and processes change; make it the source of truth, not a graveyard of outdated docs

Data & Analytics

• Partner with TA Leadership and the People Analytics team to build recruiting dashboards and define the metrics that matter - pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, quality of hire, and funnel conversion
• Ensure data integrity across systems so reporting is trustworthy and self-serve for TA leaders and business stakeholders
• Turn data into recommendations - not just reporting, but surfacing what the numbers mean and what to do about it

Process & Compliance

• Continually assess and streamline recruiting processes end-to-end to improve efficiency and candidate/hiring team experience
• Partner cross-functionally (Legal, People Systems, Total Rewards) to implement new processes and ensure compliance with internal policy and employment law
• Collaborate with TA managers and leaders to standardize processes globally

Team Leadership

• Manage and develop a team of 2 Recruiting Coordinators, with the team growing over time as the function scales
• Set the standard for how operations work gets done - rigorous, documented, and built to last beyond any one person

What You Bring

• 6-8+ years of experience in Talent/Recruiting Operations, People Operations, or a closely related function, with a track record of building an operations function from scratch
• Deep, hands-on experience configuring and administering an ATS (Greenhouse strongly preferred) and sourcing/CRM tools (Gem or similar); BrightHire or interview intelligence tooling a plus
• Proven experience building dashboards and recruiting metrics/reporting, ideally in partnership with a data or analytics team
• Experience managing or mentoring a coordination team
• Strong project management skills - you can run multiple workstreams simultaneously and bring cross-functional stakeholders along
• Comfortable operating as both an individual contributor and a people leader; you don't need a large team to make an outsized impact
• Experience working in a fast-paced, global organization and adapting to shifting priorities
• Excellent documentation instincts - you write things down so the team doesn't relearn the same lessons twice

Zocdoc is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data and internal equity. The base salary offered will depend on experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs. Certain positions are also eligible for variable pay and/or equity.

Silicon Valley, CA Base Salary Range

$159,000—$215,000 USD
