Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position in a Level I trauma center. This role involves providing respiratory care to pediatric patients within an acute care hospital setting, including adult and geriatric patient populations. The technician will be responsible for airway management, ventilator management, and ensuring airway safety and comfort for critical patients. Job Details: Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027. Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT), BLS certification, valid Illinois respiratory therapist license, 1 year minimum experience in adult critical care or emergency department, proficient in airway management devices and oxygen therapy, Cerner charting experience, and open to float within scope as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Teaching hospital experience, trauma level I and II experience, and community hospital experience. Additional Information: Will float if necessary; work involves bedside bronchoscopies, airway suctioning, intubation assistance, and working with advanced ventilator equipment including BiPAP and CPAP. Candidates must complete compliance modules prior to start and adhere to orientation requirements.
