Join our team as a Tax Accountant in the scenic Lakes Region, just minutes from Concord and Tanger Outlets. Enjoy a vibrant work environment with a diverse client base focusing on individual taxpayers, steady work pace, and tax season hours capped at 55 per week. Proficiency with Drake Software and QuickBooks Online is highly valued. This is a permanent seasonal full-time position from February to May each year and could work into a part time to full-time position for the right candidate and situation!

 

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual tax returns accurately and efficiently
• Manage bookkeeping tasks for clients as needed
• Meet all tax filing deadlines and ensure timely submission
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in tax accounting
• Proficient in tax accounting and preparation software such as Drake
• Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Strong financial reporting skills
• Excellent client relationship management
• High attention to detail and strong time management
• Effective communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• EA (Enrolled Agent) certification
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation
