Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Same Day Surgery

Location: Avera St Mary‘s Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Pay Range: $27.00 - $38.75 (actual pay rate dependent upon experience) Position Highlights: May be eligible for $7,500 - $10,000 sign‑on bonus and $1,500 relocation bonus Position Overview You Belong at Avera. The LPN practices under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, licensed physician, or another health care provider. The LPN organizes and directs those aspects of care for which he/she is accountable, communicating and coordinating care with well‑defined nursing diagnoses, and collaborating with all health team members. Responsibilities Collects data and conducts a focused nursing assessment of the health status of a patient. Participates with other health care providers in the development and modification of the patient‑centered health care plan. Implements nursing interventions within a patient‑centered health care plan. Assists in the evaluation of responses to interventions. Provides for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly. Advocates for the best interest of the patient. Communicates and collaborates with patients and members of the health care team. Assists with health counseling and teaching. Delegates and assigns nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing license in the state of practice. The individual must be able to work the specified hours, perform each essential job function satisfactorily, and meet the listed requirements.
