A rewarding contract opportunity is now available for a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) passionate about working within a school setting. This part-time position offers 20 hours per week, focusing on supporting a single student with intensive needs in a life skills program. The ideal candidate will be a female BCBA with a proven background in educational environments, well-versed in conducting comprehensive evaluations, and experienced with severe cases.
Desired Expertise:
- Active BCBA certification required
- Previous experience working in school settings is critical
- Demonstrated success supporting life skills programs
- Skilled in conducting thorough, data-driven evaluations
- Experience working 1:1 with students with severe needs
- Compassionate, patient, and able to adapt to evolving classroom situations
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete robust behavioral assessments and evaluations, documenting findings concisely
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans
- Provide ongoing consultation and training to school staff regarding effective strategies
- Deliver direct behavior support and intervention to 1 student in a life skills classroom
- Maintain regular progress data to drive decision-making and demonstrate student growth
- Communicate consistently with school personnel and caregivers to ensure a team approach
- Respond quickly to urgent behavioral situations in a safe and effective manner
