As Newco Welding’s Inside Sales Representative, you’ll be a primary point of contact for customers and prospects. You’ll help people understand what we can build, gather the details our estimating team needs, and stay connected from the first inquiry through quoting and project coordination. Every timely response and thoughtful follow-up helps earn the next project—and the next call.

If you enjoy talking on the phone, getting to know people, and helping a customer find a solution, you’ll have plenty to dig into here. You’ll build relationships one conversation at a time, learning about customers’ projects and becoming a familiar voice they’re glad to hear from. What we build

Newco Welding fabricates and installs structural steel throughout Greater Houston for residential remodels, new construction, commercial projects, and light industrial applications. Our work includes beams, columns, headers, connection plates, tube steel assemblies, platforms, equipment frames, steel skids, and other custom structural steel. Our customers range from homeowners and builders to general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and industrial clients.

How you will make an impact

• Make the first conversation count. Respond promptly to calls, emails, and quote requests. Listen carefully, make customers feel heard, and move each conversation toward a useful next step.
• Get curious about the project. Ask the questions that make a quote possible: What is the scope? Where is the jobsite? What steel is needed, and when? Gather drawings or engineering plans and clarify delivery and installation requirements. Track down missing details with the customer and estimating team.
• Keep opportunities moving. Explain our fabrication, delivery, and installation capabilities. Help prepare quotes and proposals, follow up consistently, and find out what customers need to make a decision. Give qualified opportunities the attention they deserve.

Keep the momentum going

• Build relationships over the phone. Pick up the phone to check in, learn about upcoming projects, and reconnect with existing customers. Enjoy the conversation, remember what matters to each customer, and build the trust that makes Newco their next call. Use those relationships to identify new sales opportunities.
• Connect the customer and the crew. Coordinate with estimating, fabrication, project, and installation teams so project details and customer expectations are understood. Confirm information with the right teammate before communicating pricing, capabilities, or timing.
• Close the loop. Keep customers informed about quote status, lead times, delivery schedules, and project updates. When questions or concerns arise, bring in the right person and follow through so customers know where things stand.
• Keep the details tight. Maintain accurate records of leads, conversations, quotes, and follow-ups. Keep next steps visible, stay organized across multiple opportunities, and support other sales and administrative duties as needed.

What you bring

• At least one year of experience in inside sales, customer service, estimating, construction sales, fabrication sales, or a related field.
• Strong phone and relationship-building skills, clear verbal and written communication, and the organization to manage multiple inquiries and follow-ups at once.
• Attention to detail when handling project information and quotes, plus comfort using email, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and other computer-based tools.
• The ability to learn technical products, materials, and construction terminology and work effectively with customers and internal production teams.
• Construction, structural steel, welding, fabrication, or industrial sales experience is a strong plus.
