Orthodontic Assistant

Are you an energetic, dependable Dental Assistant who enjoys orthodontics and working in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a full-time Registered Dental Assistant / Orthodontic Assistant to join our team.
This position offers a four-day workweek and the opportunity to work closely with patients throughout their orthodontic treatment. The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable traveling one day each week to support our New Braunfels location.
ScheduleFull-Time - Approximately 34 Hours Per Week
7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Four-day workweek with a rotating schedule:
- Monday-Thursday
- Tuesday-Friday
Schedule will be based on the rotating office schedule.
ResponsibilitiesThe Orthodontic Assistant will work closely with the orthodontic team to provide efficient, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities may include preparing treatment rooms, assisting during orthodontic procedures, taking necessary records and X-rays as permitted, sterilizing instruments, maintaining infection-control standards, educating patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care, documenting treatment, and helping the clinical team maintain an efficient patient flow.
Because this is a busy practice, candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent patient care and attention to detail.
QualificationsCandidates must have an active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential .
Orthodontic experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should also have excellent communication and organizational skills, be dependable and flexible, work well as part of a team, and be comfortable traveling to New Braunfels each Tuesday.
Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
