Product Liability AttorneyMy client's Pittsburgh office is seeking a highly motivated and industrious attorney to work in the firm's Product Liability practice group.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Investigate and evaluate product liability claimsConduct legal research regarding product liability law and federal regulationsDraft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memorandaManage all phases of litigation, including depositions, hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trialAdvise clients on risk management, compliance, recalls, and liability exposurePrepare witnesses and clients for testimonyMaintain case files, billing records, and litigation deadlinesParticipate in Business Development activitiesThe ideal candidate must have the following skills for consideration:4–10 years of litigation experience preferredExperience with product liability, mass torts, personal injury, or complex civilExperience with active participation in depositions, oral arguments, and courtroom experiencesExcellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing, and analytical skillsKnowledge of county, state, and federal courts and related rules of civil proceduresStrong attention to detail in all work, along with the ability to manage multiple files and to prioritize workloads to effectively meet all deadlinesExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff, and clientsForward thinking, organized, and a team playerAbility to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment with minimal direction
