CNC Lathe Operator Job Details
Schedule : Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM-2:00 AM
Pay Rate : $20.00/hr
Location : Dayton, OH
CNC Lathe Operator Requirements/Qualifications
- Previous CNC lathe setup and operating experience.
- Ability to read and interpret customer prints and specifications.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes utilizing live tooling.
- Ability to work with parts up to 24" in diameter and 125" in length.
- Experience making machine offsets and performing light program edits.
- Ability to dry-run new programs and verify proper machine operation.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, dial calipers, thread gages, and verniers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow company work orders and instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely use an overhead hoist or jib crane to load and unload steel.
As a CNC Lathe Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes utilizing live tooling.
- Read and interpret customer prints and specifications.
- Perform dry-runs on new programs before beginning production.
- Make machine offsets and perform light program editing as needed.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet customer prints and specifications.
- Measure parts using micrometers, dial calipers, thread gages, verniers, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Work with parts up to 24" in diameter and 125" in length.
- Use an overhead hoist or jib crane to safely load and unload steel from machines.
- Follow company-provided work orders and instructions.
- Maintain quality and productivity standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
