Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts: 4x10-hour schedule (08:00 AM - 06:30 PM) with varying days off based on department needs. Weekend, night, and holiday on-call requirements will be approximately 4-6 shifts per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in various endoscopic procedures. The successful candidate will be proficient in the administration of conscious sedation, airway management, and will have experience with a variety of endoscopic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing endoscopic procedures such as EUS, ERCP, and bronchoscopy.
• Monitor and recover patients under sedation during and after procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens.
• Provide education to patients regarding procedures and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a relevant specialty.
• Current and valid New York RN license is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• CGRN certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is a hard requirement.
