Family Law Paralegal

Title: Family Law Paralegal — Lakeway, TX (In-Office)

Location: Lakeway, TX (Lake Travis area) — On-site, full-time

Total Compensation Package: $65,000 – $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience

About the Role:

PEEPL Law is launching a family law practice and we need an experienced paralegal to help build it from the ground up. You'll work directly with the lead family law attorney, manage cases from intake through resolution, and have a real hand in shaping how this practice runs.

What You'll Do:

• Manage family law caseload — divorce, custody, modifications, enforcement, protective orders
• Draft pleadings, discovery, inventories and appraisements, proposed orders, and decrees
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, mediators, and court staff
• Calendar deadlines, hearings, and statutory clocks
• Prepare for hearings and trials, including exhibit management and witness coordination
• Use firm practice management and drafting tools to keep matters organized and on track

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years Texas family law paralegal experience (non-negotiable)
• Strong working knowledge of the Texas Family Code and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
• Experience with Travis, Williamson, Hays, and/or Burnet County family courts strongly preferred
• E-filing fluency (eFileTexas)
• Tech-comfortable and adaptable — we are a tech-forward firm and our team is expected to learn and use our tools well
• Self-directed, organized, and able to run with matters independently
• TBLS Board Certified Paralegal or NALA CP a plus, not required

Hard Requirement — Location:

This is a fully in-office role at our Lakeway office. You must currently live in the Lake Travis area or be in the process of relocating here. We are not hiring commuters from Round Rock, Cedar Park, or central/east Austin. We're building a community-based firm and we want team members who are part of the community.

Billable Hours:

Minimum billable hour expectations consistent with industry standards. Specifics discussed during interview.
