This position supports families across all schools—PreK–12—by providing guidance on navigating the school system, connecting families to essential services, and fostering strong home–school partnerships. Special attention is given to supporting new families, multilingual families, and those experiencing poverty, housing instability, trauma, or immigration-related challenges. Work directly with students to identify challenges and develop tailored plans to address their needs. Conduct outreach to families of students with high absentee rates, identify barriers to attendance, and provide targeted support. Monitor attendance patterns and report data-driven insights to school administrators. Collaboration with Building Leaders: Support building leaders by coordinating and facilitating student and family interventions. Attend school meetings and collaborate with educators, counselors, and other staff members to align intervention plans with school-wide goals. Assist in the creation and implementation of family engagement programs that foster positive school engagement and community. Tiered Intervention Strategy Implementation: Develop and maintain a comprehensive approach to tiered interventions for students, providing initial support (Tier 1) to more intensive individual assistance (Tiers 2 and 3). Document and track intervention efforts to assess effectiveness and adjust plans as needed. Community and Family Engagement: Build relationships with families to foster trust and promote participation in school activities. Provide information and resources to families to help them support their children’s educational and emotional development. Organize workshops and informational sessions on topics relevant to student success and family well‑being.
