AMZ Alabama is hiring a Quality Manager to support the Anniston, AL AMZ Forge and Machine Corp facility.Job DescriptionThis role will report directly to the AMZ Alabama Site Quality Manager. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Supervise and train a team of quality inspectors performing receiving and in-process inspections.Lead cross-functional MRB team to evaluate and disposition non-conforming materialManage gage lab to include calibration and tracking of all inspection gagesEstablish, track, and report KPI'sLead and participate in RCCA investigationsMaintain and improve QMS in accordance with ISO 9001Minimum Education and Experience:Associates degree and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality position Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100Required Skills and EducationAbility to lead and manage team of quality inspectorsAbility to effectively manage calibration program for siteAbility to read engineering drawingsSkilled in operation of measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, etc.Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Skilled in Root cause corrective action (RCCA) and problem solving Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsAbility to be self-starting and self-motivated to accomplish the company and quality objectivesAbility to travel <10%Preferred Skills and EducationExperience working with union workforceKnowledge of Geometric Tolerance and Dimensioning (GD&T)Lean/Six SigmaISO 9001 quality auditor training and experience
