Schedule: M-F, 8-hour Day Shifts | Salary/Exempt

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus available to eligible applicants PLUS

At UP Health System - Portage, you'll lead a dedicated OB team committed to exceptional care for mothers and babies. As a Level I Maternal Care and Nursery facility, we provide personalized, family-centered care close to home. This is an opportunity to drive quality outcomes, develop staff, and make a meaningful impact on the health of families across the Keweenaw.

How you'll contribute

An OB RN Director who excels in this role:

• Provides and coordinates care of the OB patient using nursing process.
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
• Performs performance improvement studies and assists with implementation of PI initiatives.
• Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
• Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission.
• Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
• Provides and coordinates patient educational needs, specifically to Labor and Delivery.
• Performs other job duties as assigned

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

• 4-years Labor and Delivery experience (preferred)

• 2-years leadership experience in healthcare (preferred)

• NRP, AWHONN-EFM, AWHONN-POEP, STABLE (current or within 1 year)

• Annual influenza vaccination or declination required
