To learn more, visit Duties & Responsibilities Prepare, review, and finalize complex Medicaid cost reports and supplemental payment program filings (e.g., GEMT, ASPP, or similar programs), ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Analyze revenues and expenditures to determine appropriate classification, allowability, and allocation for cost reporting purposes. Research and interpret accounting guidance, program regulations, and cost principles (e.g., Uniform Guidance) to support proper reporting and audit responses. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances, trends, and unusual transactions. Coordinate with clients to obtain supporting documentation, clarify transaction details, and resolve discrepancies. Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, workpapers, and written explanations. Document accounting conclusions and methodologies to support transparency and audit readiness. Support process improvements related to cost reporting, reconciliations, financial controls, and policy and procedures. Communicate on a regular basis with clients via meetings and email.
