Job Summary:
The Production Coordinator will play a pivotal role in coordinating daily production activities, ensuring optimal workflow, and maintaining tight control over schedules, resources, and output quality. This role demands a proactive leader with strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of production control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor daily production schedules to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.
- Oversee production control activities including inventory management, material planning, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, quality assurance) to resolve production bottlenecks.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, efficiency, and downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production orders, work instructions, and control logs.
- Implement and improve production control systems (ERP/MRP) to enhance visibility and traceability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
- Train and mentor junior staff in production coordination and control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production coordination or manufacturing operations.
- Proven expertise in production planning, scheduling, and control.
- Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred or a combination of schooling and years of experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality control systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
