California Energy Advisor- Commercial Sales

What you'll be doing Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and leveraging networking opportunities. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, develop long-term partnerships and ensure customer satisfaction and renewals. Client Consultations: Meet with clients to understand their energy needs, risk tolerance, and identify how 5 could best serve them. Continuously Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. Sales Presentations: Compose and deliver compelling sales presentations, effectively communicating the benefits of energy products and services to potential clients while maintaining an executive-level presence. Negotiation and Closing: Skillfully address client concerns and objections to close sales and achieve revenue targets. Collaboration with Teams: Collaborate with internal teams—such as operations and management—to ensure a seamless customer experience and align sales strategies with overall business goals. CRM Management: Use CRM tools such as HubSpot to track leads, manage accounts, and optimize the sales process for efficiency and effectiveness. What you'll bring Three or more years’ experience in the energy industry (retail gas and/or electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or an industry that easily translates. Three or more years of experience in B2B outside sales. Experience identifying new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and other channels. Ability to succeed with a high level of autonomy while embracing a team-oriented sales process, displaying resilience and unwavering determination. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team while independently driving sales initiatives for both individual and collective success. Ambition, passion, teamwork, and grit. BA/BS degree preferred. Compensation Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $175,000 per year, with flexibility to exceed this for exceptional candidates. Uncapped commission potential is available; top performers earn well above the base salary. We view compensation as a collaboration, tailoring packages to align with each individual's background, expertise, and goals.
