Joining a supportive work environment, you will have access to clean equipment, high-quality finishes, and a team that values skilled craftsmanship.Daily ResponsibilitiesSurface Preparation: Use air tools, sanders, and grinders to prepare steel surfaces for optimal coating adhesion.Coating in Spray Booth: Apply primers and topcoat finishes to metal components using industrial spray equipment in dedicated booths.Precise Inspection: Continually measure product dimensions with a tape measure to ensure they meet client specifications.Workflow Management (Lead Role): Organize daily tasks, set priorities, and manage team activities to meet production goals.Training & Quality Assurance (Lead Role): Train new painters, enforce safety rules, and conduct final quality checks on completed assemblies.Maintenance of Equipment: Perform regular maintenance on booths, paint guns, pressure lines, pumps, and regulators.Requirements & QualificationsProficiency in Spray Guns & Air Tools: Minimum of 1 year working with industrial spray paint guns and pneumatic tools in a shop.Leadership Experience (Lead Role): 2 to 5 years leading teams in an industrial manufacturing setting.Accurate Tape Measurement Skills: Ability to read measuring tapes and work with precise measurements.Work History & Reliability: Stable employment history with previous long-term commitments.Location Requirement: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder living within 45 minutes of Richfield, WI.Preferred SkillsExperience with Catalysts & Solvents: Knowledge of mixing fluids, calculating viscosity, and managing pot-life limits.Knowledge of Shop Logistics & 5S: Understanding of lean organization and inventory management.Operation of Overhead Cranes & Forklifts: Ability to safely use cranes and forklifts to position heavy steel components in paint booths.
