In our fourth year, we will have Pre-K3 through 4th grade and will serve over 530 students from the Rio Grande Valley in the Mission area and surrounding communities in its first year. We will continue to grow one grade-level a year until 8th grade. Join us!Position OverviewThe Part-Time Bus Monitor is a vital member of the Operations Team, which is responsible for designing and implementing efficient day-to-day systems and routines that contribute to a joyful school culture and the highest-levels of learning, instruction and organizational stewardship. The primary responsibility of the Part-Time Bus Monitor is to ensure the safety of all students riding the bus with a particular focus on our youngest riders (Pre-K3 students). This is a part-time position with opportunity for growth with the school and additional hours as needed. Tasks of the Part-Time Bus Monitor include but are not limited to:Ensuring students are acting safely and appropriately (sitting down, respectful, etc.)Taking daily bus attendanceSupporting the bus driver as directedBuilding meaningful relationships with students, staff and parentsCommunicating behavior challenges to manager/school leaderSupporting arrival and dismissal processesPerforming other related tasks as assignedQualificationsBelief in the Brillante Academy mission, model and valuesBilingual in English and SpanishExperience working in a school and/or with elementary aged students strongly preferredTeam player with strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and relationship building skillsAble to work bus schedule (approximately Monday - Friday 6:00-8:00 AM AND 3:15-5:30 PM)CompensationWe offer a competitive compensation package.Diversity & InclusivityWe are building an organization in which talented individuals from all walks of life and experiences can join our team and make significant contributions.
