The Role: Artistry in Service As a Gift Shop Associate, you are a brand ambassador. You aren’t just "ringing up items"—you are providing expert recommendations, sharing local knowledge, and ensuring that every guest’s journey is elevated by their visit to your shop. Responsibilities The Chamonix Welcome: Greet every guest with a genuine smile and a warm, proactive welcome. Curated Selling: Act as a personal shopper by identifying guest needs and suggesting the perfect memento or essential. Luxury Presentation: Efficiently process transactions while engaging in sophisticated conversation and meticulously wrapping purchases to our 4-star standard. Financial Stewardship: Manage currency and point-of-sale operations with accuracy and efficiency. Information Hub: Serve as a resort expert, answering questions about the Gift Shop and the broader Chamonix Resort. Operational Excellence: Maintain a pristine shop environment, process paperwork neatly, and answer phones with a "smile you can hear." Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and internal safety protocols. Requirements Licensing: Must possess (or be able to obtain) a valid State of Colorado Gaming License. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Previous experience in upscale retail or luxury hospitality is preferred. Communication: Exceptional English verbal skills. Agility: Ability to stand for a full shift and lift up to 35 lbs. Thrive under pressure and remain organized in a fast‑paced resort environment. Compensation & Benefits $17.00 an hour + tips, based on experience.
