Technical Product Support SpecialistLife Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for a Technical Product Support Specialist to join our Global Technical Product Support team. In this role, your work will directly contribute to making our products easier to install, service, and support—from the beginning of product development through the entire product lifecycle.You'll work closely with teams including Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Operations, Service, and Learning & Development to make sure our products are easy to install, service, and support. You'll also provide technical support to field technicians, installers, service teams, and partners around the world.This is a hands-on, collaborative role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with products, solving problems, and working with different teams.This is a hybrid role, and the successful candidate must be able to work from both our Rosemont and Schaumburg, IL locations to collaborate with the team and support hands-on product and project activities.As our Technical Product Support Specialist, you will:Support new product development projects by providing input on installation and service requirements.Work with Engineering and Product Management to identify and address product installation and service issues.Participate in product reviews, project meetings, and new product launches.Help coordinate project tasks, meetings, and follow-up items.Provide technical support to technicians, installers, service teams, and business partners.Help troubleshoot technical and product-related issues.Identify recurring problems and work with the appropriate teams to find solutions.Create and maintain technical support materials such as troubleshooting guides, service procedures, FAQs, and installation information.Help develop technical training materials, product demonstrations, and service or installation videos.Work with teams around the world to make sure new products are ready to support at launch.Provide feedback from the field to help improve product quality, serviceability, and the customer experience.Stay current on new technologies and Life Fitness products.What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Technical Product Support Specialist:Associate or technical degree in IT, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.At least 5 years of experience in technical support, field service, product support, engineering support, or a similar technical role.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Hands-on experience working with electronic, electrical, mechanical, IT, or related technical systems.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and other business or technical software.Comfortable working with online systems such as ticketing tools, knowledge bases, and collaboration platforms.Willingness to use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, research, documentation, and problem-solving.Ability to work effectively with teams and partners around the world.Strong written and verbal English communication skills.Ability to work from both Rosemont and Schaumburg, Illinois locations.Willingness to travel up to 15%.Experience with any of the following is preferred:Fitness equipmentField service or installationElectronics or electrical systemsMechanical systemsIT and networkingIPTV, AV, or television systemsTechnical trainingTechnical documentationProduct development or new product launchesSuccess Profile:We're looking for someone who is:Hands-on and enjoys working with products.Curious and likes figuring out how things work.A problem solver who can troubleshoot issues and find practical solutions.Organized and able to keep projects moving.Collaborative and comfortable working with different teams.A strong communicator who can explain technical information clearly.Customer-focused and understands the importance of supporting the people who install and service our products.At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we think customer first, play as one team, and raise the bar on fitness innovation—in the gym and in every corner of our facilities.
