Position details Title : Clinical Laboratory Scientist Type : Direct hire Salary : $100,000–$140,000 per year Overview Join a CLIA‑certified and CAP‑accredited laboratory at the forefront of accelerating in‑vitro diagnostic (IVD) development. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving scientific excellence and regulatory compliance, ensuring every test result delivered supports patient care and medical innovation. Responsibilities Lead and perform testing, validation, and verification of assays, instrumentation, and laboratory methodologies. Uphold rigorous standards for quality assurance, quality control, and regulatory compliance in accordance with CLIA, CAP, and FDA guidelines. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring optimal performance through scheduled preventive maintenance. Administer and enhance proficiency testing programs, supporting continuous laboratory improvement. Train and evaluate laboratory staff to maintain high standards of competence and professionalism. Utilize robust data and record management systems to ensure accuracy, organization, and timely reporting. Collaborate with study teams, scientific colleagues, and clients to deliver reliable data, insightful interpretations, and clear timelines. Proactively identify and implement process improvements to maximize laboratory efficiency and data integrity. Qualifications Current and valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license. Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in clinical or research laboratory settings. Proven knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and FDA regulatory requirements. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication abilities and collaborative spirit, comfortable working across multidimensional teams.
