Manufacturing Engineer

Nesco Resource is in search of a Manufacturing Engineer to work one of our clients based in Shelton, CT. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all production lines are properly maintained, set-up and ready for daily production
• Troubleshooting new or existing problems involving design, materials or processes
• Determining root causes of failures and recommending changes in designs, tolerances or processing methods
• Working collaboratively to identify and continuously improve production processes and procedures to optimize the cost, resources and productivity
• Reviewing current preventative maintenance program and enhancing to maximize reliability, availability, and continued operation
• Planning and coordinating working plans including daily workflow and assignments, preventive and predictive maintenance, shutdowns and large-scale projects
• Supporting of capital projects, including research and implementation of machine upgrades and improvements
• Managing multiple projects concurrently and independently
• Directing daily work plan for maintenance and set-up team
• Maintaining accurate and organized records of drawings, schematics and relevant maintenance records
• Developing and implementing training plans to ensure department employees work safely and efficiently
• Consistently promoting a healthy work environment and strong safety culture

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering along with at least 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of CAD
• Strong background with PLCs, drives, and controls
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient computer skills with ERP/MRP applications and MS office
• Possesses drive, enthusiasm, professional demeanor and excellent communication skills

Additional information includes:

• Onsite 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3pm
• Salary range: up to $90K
