Allied Technician - Physical Therapist

Acute Care Physical TherapistWe are seeking a qualified Acute Care Physical Therapist to join our team. This role involves providing essential rehabilitative care to patients in acute care settings. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a variety of therapeutic techniques and able to deliver high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans.Implement therapeutic interventions, including home exercise programs, lifting and transfer techniques, and patient education.Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Epic charting.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.Perform assessments including pain assessment, strength testing, and vital signs monitoring.Assist patients with various conditions such as COPD, CHF, CABG, MI, hip and knee injuries, total joint replacements, and post-stroke rehabilitation.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in acute care physical therapy.Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.BLS certification required.Ability to accommodate block schedules, subject to manager discretion.Proficient in the use of assistive devices, body mechanics, and discharge planning.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and collaborate with patients and healthcare teams.Shift DetailsThis position requires a work schedule of 5 days a week, Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
