Job Description

As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol in Memphis, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Security Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. This primarily driving role requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to help maintain a secure environment through visible presence, clear communication, and professional response to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, families, visitors, volunteers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location, and report unusual or suspicious activity to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
