Oncology Sales Representative - Charleston, SC / Savannah, GA

Merck seeks an Oncology Sales Representative for the Charleston, SC/Savannah, GA territory to drive sales of oncology products through customer engagement, clinical education, and market relationship development. The role combines territory management, stakeholder collaboration, and achievement of assigned sales goals within a field-based structure.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed assigned sales goals in collaboration with territory team members
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand practice structures, business models, and clinical needs
• Communicate patient-centered value propositions for oncology products using approved messaging and resources
• Analyze purchasing patterns and market trends to develop short- and long-term territory strategies
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Customer Team Leader, Key Account Manager, and Field Reimbursement Associate

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years sales experience, or high school diploma with 8+ years equivalent professional experience
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel 10-15% overnight within assigned territory
• Healthcare or scientific field background with oncology experience strongly preferred
• 2+ years oncology field sales experience selling therapeutics to oncology customers preferred
• Knowledge of cancer staging, treatment pathways, multidisciplinary care teams, and oncology guidelines
• Ability to navigate complex buying environments including GPOs, wholesalers, and specialty pharmacies
