Description Mental Health Counselor – Bachelor’s, evening, part‑time position at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center. Responsibilities The Specialist‑Mental Health (MHS) works with other members of inpatient unit staff to provide patient care in a variety of duties, under the direct supervision of an RN, Mental Health Professional Therapist, or the inpatient unit Manager or Director. The role involves hospital‑level and focused patient care, support, and milieu management for patients with behavioral health conditions and illnesses. Responsibilities include observing and reporting on patient conditions, supporting daily therapeutic activities, and collaborating with the multi‑disciplinary treatment team to develop and modify treatment care plans during admission and inpatient hospitalization. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or Human Services. Two years in an acute or residential inpatient psychiatric facility, or an alternative behavioral school in a similar role. Applicable internship or practicum experience may be applied toward the required years of experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a child or adolescent psychiatric environment (Willamette Falls - CAPU). Experience in an adult psychiatric environment (PPMC - Adult Inpatient Psych Unit). Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
