Supervisor Radiology

General Summary of Position MedStar Health is looking for a Supervisor Radiology to join our team at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital. Directs departmental activities, assumes responsibility for professional and support staff, and maintains standards of quality, and supervises the operations of the department. Performs x‑ray studies as needed. Primary Duties: Oversees radiology operations in the absence of the Director, ensuring timely and efficient patient care, proper exam prioritization, and adherence to infection control guidelines. Prepares and positions patients, operates radiology equipment, develops films, and ensures image quality for accurate interpretation. Cleans and disinfects radiology rooms and equipment, maintains radiation safety protocols, and coordinates necessary equipment servicing. Works closely with nurses, physicians, and radiology teams to clarify exam orders, coordinate emergency procedures, and provide performance improvement input. Organizes workflow, prepares shift change reports, assists with transporting patients, and ensures compliance with departmental policies. Qualifications: Associates degree in radiology technology (required) 3-4 years' experience as a registered radiology technologist (required) ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) certification Maryland State license (required) This position has a hiring range of $41.98 - $75.62. #J-18808-Ljbffr MedStar Health
