Key responsibilities of a CNA:

• Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assisting residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, and ambulation. 

• Vital Signs Monitoring: Taking resident's vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respirations) and reporting any abnormalities. 

• Patient Observation: Observing resident behavior, mood, and physical condition, noting any changes and reporting them to the nurse. 

• Patient Transfers: Safely transferring residents between bed, wheelchair, and other surfaces using proper lifting techniques. 

• Hygiene Maintenance: Maintaining resident's personal hygiene by assisting with oral care, incontinence care, and changing bed linens. 

• Meal Assistance: Serving meals and assisting residents with eating as needed. 

• Documentation: Accurately documenting all care provided in resident records. 

• Communication: Effectively communicating resident needs and concerns to the nursing staff. 

• Safety Measures: Implementing safety precautions to prevent falls and injuries. 

• Companionship: Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
