Full Time Irving, TX, US Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $140,000.00 Annually Manager, Accounting About Us EFJohnson Technologies is a subsidiary of JVCKENWOOD Corporation, a leading provider of P25 communications solutions for first responders in public safety and public service, the federal government, and industrial organizations. Our products are marketed under the EFJohnson and KENWOOD brands. EFJohnson provides wireless communications products and systems for public safety, commercial, and government customers. We design, manufacture, and market conventional and trunked radio systems, land mobile radio repeaters, and mobile and portable radios, including Project 25 digital radio products. As a Manager, Accounting, you’ll support all aspects of the monthly close, financial reporting, internal controls, inventory, revenue recognition (including percentage-of-completion), and consolidation reporting for our Japan-based parent company, JVC Kenwood. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent process discipline, and the ability to collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Corporate Finance in Japan. This position has clear advancement potential for the right candidate. This role is hybrid, from our Irving, TX office. Key Responsibilities Supports and eventually leads the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process. Prepares and reviews journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses. Maintains accurate balance sheet schedules, including inventory reserves, warranty reserves, and contract assets. Ensures timely submission of financial packages to JVC Kenwood, including full P&L, B/S, flux commentary, and required schedules. Assists with external auditors and provides required documentation. Oversees and maintains positive relationships with external tax consultants, ensuring timely preparation and filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns. Applies US GAAP and IFRS where applicable (inventory, revenue recognition, capitalized leases, reserves, etc.) Supports percentage-of-completion accounting for large P25 public-safety system projects. Maintains compliance with J-SOX internal control requirements and assist with testing and remediation. Collaborates with Sales, Vendor Management, Supply Chain, Order Management and Engineering to understand financial impacts. Supports budgeting and forecasting processes. Coordinates with affiliates on intercompany reporting. Provides financial insights to senior leadership and the parent company. Completes additional duties as required. Agrees to abide by the established Approval Matrix. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. CPA or working toward certification. Must be proficient with ERP computer applications and MS Office products. Experience working with SQL or other database packages. Strong knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS exposure a plus). 10+ years’ related accounting experience. 3+ years’ supervisory experience in accounting. 4+ years’ preparing GAAP consolidations and financial reports. Experience in maintaining and analyzing general ledger accounts. What We’re Looking For Hands‑on, detailed oriented and disciplined management skills, required.
