Copywriter (Temporary), Adult Learner RecruitmentThe Copywriter (Temporary) merges the unique voice of our partner institutions with proven marketing principles to create effective mail and online campaigns. This role requires a basic understanding of direct marketing strategy. The ideal candidate has professional writing experience, a positive attitude, an outstanding work ethic and a passion for serving our student and partner bases.This position may be based in Richmond, VA or Washington, D.C. This is a temporary role that will last through March 31, 2026 in our Adult Learner Recruitment division.Primary Responsibilities:Write and revise original copy for assigned clientsLearn from feedback to produce copy that is consistently strong and on pointContribute to copy and recruitment marketing discussions in client meetingsParticipate in team, client, and process meetingsHelp with special projects, including collateral pieces outside of normal Enrollment Services marketing productsWork well with others, including Art Directors, Web Designers and account teamsSupport the Copywriting group by providing coverage and taking on overflow workPossess the technical flexibility to quickly adapt to changing systems and processesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related fieldAt least 2 years writing experience in a professional settingAbility to manage time and meet tight deadlines as well as work late hours/weekends as neededIdeal Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in a team settingAbility to conform writing to prescribed stylesAbility to accept and learn from constructive criticismStrong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities/deadlinesKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeCommitment to embracing a continual learning environment and contributing to a dynamic and welcoming culture of fairness, authenticity, and belonging in support of EAB's mission, values, and aspirations.If you've reached this section of the job description and are unsure of whether to apply, please do! Actual compensation varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location.
