Senior Manager of Freight Consolidation Operations

The Senior Manager of Freight Consolidation Operations is responsible for the execution, optimization, and day-to-day leadership of FST's LTL and retail consolidation operations, including Walmart consolidation, within a single-site operation. This role ensures efficient daily execution across cross dock and consolidation activities, drives service and operational performance, and leads frontline and supervisory teams within the site. The Senior Manager partners with senior leadership to support operational initiatives, implement process improvements, and maintain consistent, reliable performance aligned with company standards.

Responsibilities include leading the day-to-day execution of Walmart and other retail consolidation programs within a single-site operation, overseeing inbound and outbound freight activities, monitoring daily operational performance, implementing and following established processes to reduce misloads, freight left behind, service failures, and operational variability, ensuring consistent, accurate communication across all teams supporting site operations, supporting the implementation of operational improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency at the site level, reviewing KPIs and operational reports to identify trends, address gaps, and escalate risks when needed, assisting in executing consolidation strategies developed by senior leadership within the assigned site, ensuring adherence to company standards, safety requirements, and operational processes, and being held accountable to comply with all defined business processes and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST.

Leadership responsibilities include directly managing, supervisors, and frontline team members within the site, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to drive team success, establishing clear expectations, goals, and accountability for team performance, supporting development of team members to build bench strength within site operations, and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, engagement, and continuous improvement.
