Details Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit caring for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum cases Unit consists of a 3-bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays Travelers will function in OBED, L&D, and OB PACU but will not circulate OR cases Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am Works 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week Every other weekend (EOW) required Every other holiday (EOH) required No on-call requirements Free parking available Requirements Active RN license valid in North Carolina (NC or compact) Current BLS (AHA or ARC) Current ACLS (AHA or ARC) Current NRP certification Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE required Minimum one year of nursing experience required Previous Labor & Delivery operating room experience required Must be able to circulate for C-sections Must be able to triage for OB patients Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required BSN or MSN preferred Additional Information Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in coordination with the interdisciplinary care team Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation utilizing the nursing process Participates in unit goal setting and performance improvement activities Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment for patients and staff American Traveler Job ID P-750924.
