Program Manager

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to support a commercial construction organization focused on delivering retail, medical, institutional, and design-build projects throughout the East Coast and select Midwest markets. This position is on‑site in Greensboro, NC . The Project Manager will oversee commercial construction projects from concept through completion, managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships. Responsibilities for the Project Manager include: Lead commercial construction projects from pre‑construction planning through final completion, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget. Coordinate project kickoff meetings, owner meetings, design reviews, constructability reviews, and ongoing project team collaboration. Manage subcontractors, vendors, purchasing activities, shop drawing approvals, permitting, agency approvals, and change order processes. Review contract documents, project schedules, construction cost estimates, and value engineering opportunities to maximize project success. Serve as the primary client‑facing representative while leading project teams that include superintendents, designers, safety personnel, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Required Qualifications for the Project Manager include: 2-4+ years of commercial construction project management, estimating, or related construction experience. Experience managing commercial construction projects within retail, medical, institutional, or design‑build environments. Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Procore, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and construction management best practices. Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and contract documents. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. Ability to work in the United States; work authorization is required. Experience working for a General Contractor (GC) or Architecture Firm strongly preferred. Ability to travel approximately 30-40% to project sites throughout the East Coast with occasional Midwest travel.
