Branch Operations Manager

LHH is seeking a Branch Operations Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent position with a distribution organization in the Dayton, OH area. This role offers the chance to oversee a key, high-profile location within a well-established and expanding company recognized for its strong customer partnerships and operational performance. The position provides an opportunity to lead, mentor, and develop a high-impact team while enhancing branch profitability and optimizing day-to-day operations in a competitive market. The compensation package is dependent on experience and ranges from $80K to $105K base with potential to earn $130,000 to $150,000 annually with bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package, strong insurance offerings, generous PTO, and a 401(k) with company match. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all facets of branch operations, including sales, warehouse, distribution, and Drive overall performance through strong leadership, clear accountability, and effective execution of operational initiatives Own full P&L accountability, including revenue generation, cost control, margins, and overall profitability Design and implement branch-level strategies to grow market share and expand revenue Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key clients and local business stakeholders Collaborate with sales teams to strengthen pipeline development and consistently meet or exceed targets Track and analyze performance metrics, taking corrective action as needed to improve results Oversee inventory operations, ensuring accuracy, appropriate levels, and effective replenishment practices Promote alignment across purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient workflow Recruit, develop, and retain talent to build a high-performing, engaged team Cultivate a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational protocols Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality Support customer satisfaction efforts and address escalated concerns as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred Required: At least 5 years of leadership experience within the building materials or building supply sector Proven background working in contractor or homebuilder-driven sales environments Demonstrated ability to manage full P&L and drive financial performance at the branch level Experience leading cross-functional teams across sales, operations, and customer service Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes preferred Ability to develop and execute growth-oriented business strategies Effective leadership, communication, and team development capabilities Analytical mindset with a focus on metrics, performance tracking, and continuous improvement Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
