Operating Room - Surgical Technologist

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke's Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke's Health System.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Orthopedic and trauma experience required.

Unit Details: Common cases include endoscopies, cataracts, hernia repairs, laparoscopic cases, ORIFs, total joints, arthroscopies, and C-sections.

Shift & Scheduling: Travelers are assigned a schedule by the manager; permanent staff self-schedule, and travelers are expected to fill gaps in the core staff schedule. Shift starts between 7 AM and 7:30 AM. Weeknight call is typically 1 day every 2 weeks. Weekend call is 1 weekend per month, end of shift Friday through Monday. Holiday call is rare and travelers may be asked to join the holiday rotation. Call response time is 30 minutes.

Required Credentials: Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Previous Employment Requirements: Previous employees may be considered only as one-off exceptions with approval by St. Luke's Health System.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver's license required for submission

Certifications:

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certification TS-C
