What You’ll Do As a Service Advisor you play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, listening attentively to their vehicle concerns, conducting thorough inspections, proactively checking for recalls, retrieving vehicle information, and maintaining customer rapport. Administrative duties include submitting warranty repair documentation, handling customer relations, verifying coverage, preparing repair orders, obtaining approvals, monitoring repair work, reviewing completed jobs, collecting payments, and efficiently closing out service orders. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. Job Duties Customer Service Duties Greets customers upon arrival in the maintenance area Ascertains vehicle problems and services by listening to the customer’s description of symptoms Clarifies description of problems Conducts inspections Proactively checks for recalls Submits documentation for warranty repair orders Retrieves mileage and VIN numbers from the vehicle Checks vehicle maintenance records Examines service schedules Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and providing daily updates Calls customers when the job is complete and the truck is ready for pick‑up Establishes good customer relations by providing estimates and timelines Performs administrative duties on a per‑need basis Repair Order Duties Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers Explains provisions and exclusions Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems and causes discovered as well as repairs and service required Obtains approval signatures Enters RO into the service database system and sends to Estimator and Dispatcher Monitors repair work to ensure the vehicle will be ready when promised Prints warranty certificate Prints repair orders Issues sublet purchase order numbers Reviews jobs when completed Collects payment from jobs Closes jobs Required Skills and Qualifications Proven technical expertise Knowledge of trucks and parts Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills Excellent problem‑solving skills Strong organizational skills Excellent time management skills Able to work in a fast‑paced environment Works well with internal and external customers Physical Requirements Must pass post‑offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check Compensation $20‑$25 per hour based on experience + bonus plan This is a full‑time position Benefits Velocity Vehicle Group Offers Fantastic Culture 401(k) + match Health, Dental & Vision Insurance + HSA & FSA Employer‑paid Life Insurance Paid Vacation Days Sick Leave Company perks such as employee discounts, company events, and training programs Excellent Training and Career Advancement Opportunities Velocity Vehicle Group is an equal opportunity employer.
