Role Description The Alarm & Security Technology Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for alarm systems, security technologies, and related services, while expanding relationships with existing clients. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and site assessments, preparing proposals and presentations, and collaborating with technical teams to design solutions that meet client needs. The role involves monitoring market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies and product positioning. The Business Development Manager will also maintain accurate sales pipelines, meet revenue targets, and support contract negotiations to drive sustainable growth for the company. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management within alarm systems, security technology, or related industries. Strong skills in client relationship building, networking, and consultative selling, with the ability to understand and translate customer requirements into tailored solutions. Knowledge of electronic security systems (e.g., alarms, access control, CCTV, monitoring services) and comfort working with technical specialists to scope and price projects. Proficiency in using CRM tools and basic office software to manage pipelines, document activities, and report on performance metrics. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different organizational levels. Organized and self-directed work style, with strong time management and follow-through on leads, proposals, and client commitments. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, criminal justice, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience. Previous experience in the security, investigations, or protective services sector is highly beneficial; familiarity with local Los Angeles market is a plus.
