Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information Structural Maintenance Job Summary Preserve, protect and enhance appearance of campus through painting buildings, equipment, and other interior/exterior surfaces. Responsibilities Perform general and custom painting assignments employing all standard trade practices and skills Varnish, stain, seal, and finish/refinish desks, doors, decks, cabinets, and floors Trim windows and doors Caulk cracks in walls and glaze windows Mix paint, varnish, lacquers, and enamels Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted by use of sandpaper, scraping, soap and water, tape, drop cloths in preparation for painting Estimate and gather types and amount of materials needed for job Perform plastering or drywall repair Repair wallpaper Paint logos and graphics on floors and walls Set up and break down scaffold and ladders Submit daily report showing time spent on each project and quantity of materials/supplies used Follow all safety and other risk management policies in performance of work Attend safety meetings Maintain, repair, and clean tools, equipment, and work areas Keep assigned service vehicle clean and organized Required Qualifications Educational Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Required Experience One (1) or more years of related work experience Proposed Salary $17.13 - $20.96 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
