Overview Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chief Radiation Therapist in Boulder. We are seeking a Chief Radiation Therapist to guide our team with clinical expertise, compassion, and a commitment to exceptional care. Salary Range: $125,000-$190,000.00

Responsibilities Responsible for the planning, coordination and evaluation of the administrative, nursing, and administrative staff. Interacts and directs the simulation therapists and radiation therapists in order to effectively deliver a high quality radiation therapy treatment course for each patient presented. May perform the duties of radiation therapist up to 20% of the time in order to maintain a high quality care environment. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Supervises and coordinates staff including evaluating performance to enhance high quality radiation therapy.
-Participates in QA program to assure accuracy of treatment plan and delivery.
-Reviews and amends patient billing for accuracy.
-Participates in the clinical instruction of newly hired radiation staff and radiation therapy students.
-Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, and rewarding and disciplining employees.
-Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment. Directly supervises employees in the radiation oncology program which may include simulation therapists and radiation therapists.
-Ensures effective clinical staff coverage for the Practice, within budgetary guidelines.
-Implements standard radiation oncology and diagnostic policies and procedures throughout the practice.
-Directs the hiring and training of all radiation personnel for maximum service to patients in accordance with practice and USON policies and procedures.
-Develops performance expectations, and departmental objectives for radiation staff positions to ensure efficiency and productivity.
-Ensures all staff members maintain state licensure and are adequately trained to perform duties.
-Works cooperatively with managers and members of other departments and ensures teamwork and cooperation between radiation staff and other practice personnel.
-Ensures the timely and cost-effective ordering of radiation and imaging supplies.
-If needed on a temporary basis, performs tasks assigned to radiation staff as necessary and appropriate to area of education and expertise.
-Assists in the development and implementation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on organization goals and objectives.
-Ensures the correct use of charge codes and educates all radiation and imaging staff in correct documentation per US Oncology reimbursement guidelines. Ensures all billing is completed in a timely manner.
-Ensures the provision of quality radiation and imaging care. This includes radiation treatment delivery, dosimetry, brachytherapy, and diagnostic imaging.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program, Bachelors degree preferred. Minimum five years actively practicing as an RTT. Minimum two years prior supervisory experience required. ARRT certification required.Valid state license for radiation therapy. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
