Radiologic Technologist I

Location UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital, Longmont, CO. Department LPH Diagnostic Rad. Work Schedule PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift Flex. Pay $28.38 - $39.74 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. Summary Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities Review patient history, physician orders and perform scheduling. Educate patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered. Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate. Prepare equipment and supplies. Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary. Position patient and perform imaging procedure(s). Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results. Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enter and transmit images. May work with radiology students. Within scope of job requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required. State licensure if required by law. BLS or CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date; card must be valid through sixty days of hire.
