Remote Senior Financial Analyst

An employer in the Los Angeles, CA area is seeking a Remote Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, operational analysis, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and purchasing activities for a large imaging department of approximately 600 employees. This individual will serve as a key financial partner to leadership, providing actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze monthly financial performance, budget variances, and expense trends.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Partner with department leaders on staffing, expense, and operational planning.
• Perform financial and operational analysis related to patient volumes, reimbursement, revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Analyze imaging procedure trends, utilization, and growth opportunities.
• Develop capital equipment business cases, ROI models, and break-even analyses.
• Track labor metrics including salaries, overtime, and productivity measures.
• Create recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership.
• Build and maintain advanced Excel models, pivot tables, and reporting tools.
• Support purchasing, requisitions, purchase orders, and accounts payable activities.
• Research billing discrepancies, cost variances, and payment issues.
• Present financial data and recommendations to clinical and operational stakeholders.
