Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Position / Title: ICU - RN (Intensive Care Unit) Facility Name: Rapid City Hospital Location: 353 Fairmont Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57701 VMS Req ID / Job ID: 370803 / Job ID: 867261 Target Start Date: 09/28/2026 Shift Details: Nights (Contract, 48-hour/week contract preferred) What the Facility Wants (Requirements & Expectations) Experience & Qualifications Experience Required: 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience strongly preferred (minimum 1 prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not accepted). License & Certifications: Active South Dakota RN license, BLS , ACLS , NIHSS , and TNCC (required prior to arrival). Radius Rule: Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility. Clinical & Unit Overview Unit Details: 39-bed mixed ICU unit divided into pods (MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU). Patient Ratios & Care: 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 (rare). Patient types include complex surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and heavy trauma. Charting System & Equipment: Epic (required for ICU/ED) and Alaris pumps (transitioning to Baxter pumps in October). Scheduling & Special Instructions Interview Process: Clinical interview with manager approval required.
