Job Summary: This role involves providing direct and delegated patient care within a clinical setting, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines. The Medical Assistant will maintain awareness of normal and abnormal patient parameters to identify those at risk and respond appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver efficient healthcare services throughout patient visits, including preparing patients for examination and obtaining vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate.
• Observe and document abnormal signs and symptoms, communicate findings to the physician, and ensure accurate medical record keeping.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physicals, including applying splints and dressings and managing sample medications.
• Coordinate patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, ensuring patients understand physician instructions and treatment plans.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical care areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program is required.

This position operates on a first shift schedule within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest United States.
