Job Summary Supervising Occupational/Physical Therapist for the California Children’s Services (CCS) Program. The County of San Diego is accepting applications for this role. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct the day-to-day operations of a medical therapy unit (MTU) and/or satellite site of the CCS Program. Supervise physical and occupational therapists and support staff. Administer and oversee medically necessary occupational or physical therapy services to children with neuromuscular and/or musculoskeletal disorders. Provide comprehensive medical case management, including review of durable medical rehabilitation equipment. Education and Experience Valid California license as an occupational or physical therapist, or in the process of obtaining licensure. Three (3) years of clinical experience working with physically disabled children as a certified or licensed occupational or physical therapist, OR three (3) years of progressively responsible post-graduate experience in administering occupational or physical therapy to psychiatrically disordered and physically impaired patients. Supervisory experience is highly desirable. Licensing and Certification Occupational Therapy: Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy or in the process of obtaining licensure. Applicants licensed in other states must prove application for licensure with the California Board of Occupational Therapy. Physical Therapy: Licensed by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Physical Therapy Board of California, or in the process of obtaining licensure. Applicants licensed in other states must prove application for licensure with the State Of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Physical Therapy Board of California. A valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI) is required at the time of employment. Salary and Benefits Future Salary Increases: June 2026 – 5.13% increase to base pay (3.5% Across-the-Board + 1.63% Market Adjustment). June 2027 – 4.63% increase to base pay (3% Across-the-Board + 1.63% Market Adjustment). The starting salary will be based on the candidate’s qualifications at the time of appointment. Condition of Employment Prospective candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment.
