Step into a rewarding opportunity as a part-time physical therapist supporting students for the 2026/2027 school year. This contract role offers a schedule of 1.5 days per week, totaling 10–11 hours, with flexibility to accommodate your availability. Work closely with educational professionals to deliver essential physical therapy services within a supportive and collaborative school environment conveniently located near El Cajon, CA.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active California Physical Therapist license and required credentials
- Experience working as a physical therapist in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of assessment, intervention, and documentation procedures for students with a variety of physical needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized plans and monitoring progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students as aligned with each individualized education plan (IEP)
- Complete assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings to share expertise and support goal development
- Offer consultation and recommendations to teachers and staff regarding equipment, classroom accessibility, and modifications
- Educate families, caregivers, and school staff on strategies to support student mobility and participation
