Step into a rewarding opportunity as a part-time Physical Therapist supporting students for the 2026/2027 school year. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a school-based environment, working approximately 10-11 hours over 1.5 days per week. The schedule is flexible to accommodate your availability, making it ideal for professionals balancing multiple commitments or seeking to supplement their current role.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active California Physical Therapist license and appropriate credentials required
- Experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Demonstrated skills in assessment, intervention, and documentation for pediatric and adolescent populations
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering student independence and functional movement within the educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based physical therapy services tailored to students’ needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in line with IEP goals
- Consult with teachers and staff, providing strategies and support for improving student access to curriculum
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with other service providers as needed
- Support safe participation and mobility in school routines and activities
